Amazon Blog Series: Amazon Prime Day – How It Went

So, Amazon Prime Day has been and gone and I’ve got to say, this one was actually really, really good.

Compared to the last couple of Prime Days, which have been a little underwhelming, this one delivered. There were loads of toys, Q4-related items, and even some strong electronics deals. It was a solid couple of days, and the strategy I shared in the previous Prime Day blog worked perfectly.

How It Went

I implemented exactly what I talked about last week, staying up late, working in a team, and being ready to move fast.

We kicked things off around 11:30 PM on the Monday night, getting everything set up and ready to go. By midnight, when the Prime Day officially started, the deals began coming through thick and fast, and they didn’t slow down for a couple of hours.

I worked as part of a small group, just like I suggested before. We each took a channel to cover and shared the leads we found. That teamwork made a huge difference, we caught so many good deals that we’d have missed on our own.

We also had our virtual assistant helping throughout the day, going through A2A leads and picking up on things we missed overnight. That extra set of hands really helped keep the momentum going.

What I Spent and What Worked

Across the two Prime Days, I ended up spending around £12,000. The majority of my buys were Q4-related products, toys, gift sets, and items that historically perform extremely well through November and December.

The best window for catching the big drops was definitely midnight through to about 2:00 AM, but there were still plenty of opportunities popping up throughout both days.

By approaching it strategically, staying organised, working as a team, and keeping everything streamlined, it felt kind of controlled rather than chaotic, which is exactly how you want to handle Prime Day.

Lessons and Takeaways

If you’re preparing for the next Prime Day (which will likely be in July next year), here are a few things I’d recommend based on how this one went:

✅ Be Online Early

Get yourself set up and ready by 11:30 PM the night before. Have everything ready well before midnight.

✅ Work as a Team

Whether it’s your network, or people from a discord community, divide the work, one person does one A2A channel (50spm) and someone does another channel (100spm).

✅ Use a Virtual Assistant

If you have a VA, get them involved during the day. Have them monitor A2A deals and Keepa deals.

✅ Watch Keepa’s Deals Page

The Keepa Deals page is greatd during Prime Day. Keepa will highlight ASINs dropping in price, helping you spot deals that monitors miss.

✅ Buy Now, Analyse Later

This is key. If you stop to overanalyse every deal, you’ll miss half of them. Buy first, then go through your purchases after. Cancel anything that doesn’t meet your ROI or sales metrics later on.

Final Thoughts

Octobers Prime Days were class. There were tons of opportunities, especially for Q4. Working as a group was a game changer, and having systems in place made it smooth and profitable.

If you’re planning ahead for the next one, make sure you’ve got:

  • A clear plan
  • A strong team
  • Monitors and tools ready
  • A bit of cash flow freed up.

Prime Day might only last two days, but it can give your business a serious head start going into Q4.
