Happy New Year.
Over the Christmas and New Year period I have spent a lot of time reflecting on the last 12 months and planning for the year ahead. I had a very strong Q4 and finished with £16,500 profit, which I am really happy with. If you have been following the blog series, I hope you have been able to take value from the content and apply some of the strategies to your own business.
This blog is about the formula for success on Amazon. It is very simple:
Time + Hard Work + Capital + Skillset = Success
This formula works. Every successful seller I know follows this, whether they realise it or not. Let’s break each part down.
Time
Time is the first part of the formula and one of the most underestimated.
At the start, Amazon requires a lot of time. You are learning, sourcing, analysing, experimenting, dealing with issues, making mistakes and fixing them, this is normal. You cannot shortcut this phase.
You need time to:
- Learn how Amazon works
- Understand sourcing
- Build experience
- Make mistakes and learn from them
- Develop systems
The more time you put in, the faster you improve. The good part is that time reduces as you scale, once you build systems and outsource to VAs and a prep centre, your personal workload drops. But you still need to put the time in at the start. There is no avoiding it.
Hard Work
Hard work separates the people who succeed from the people who quit. Amazon is not passive income and very time consuming at the start. There will be days where things go wrong, prices tank, accounts get issues. ungating fails. You just still have to keep going. The people who win are the ones who stay consistent even when motivation drops. Hard work compounds. The more effort you put in early, the easier it becomes later.
Capital
Capital is fuel for your business, especially when it comes to Amazon. This type of business is extremely cash intensive and i was quite unaware of this at the start.
This is why reinvesting profits is so important, especially in the early stages. Pulling money out too early slows growth massively.
The more capital you have:
- The more stock you can buy
- The more opportunities you can capitalise on
- The faster you can grow
Capital and cash flow is probably the most important part of this formula, this is why Q4 is so powerful, it gives you a big cash injection to fuel the next stage of growth.
Skillset
Skillset is what eventually turns you into a multi 7 figure seller. Anyone can buy stock and sell it, not everyone can develop the necessary skills to reach big heights. You can use lots of free content on Youtube, Discord channels, Blogs like these and you will then be able to navigate your way through the world of Amazon. If you want to fast track your journey, you can use mentoring such as FBA Moguls mentoring, this allows you to scale faster and with guidance. Learning from people who are already doing what you want to do shortcuts your growth.
Success
Success is the output of the formula.
Time + Hard Work + Capital + Skillset = Success
Success looks different for everyone.
For some people:
- £1,000 per month profit is success
For others:
- £10,000 per month is success
For some:
- Full time income
For others:
- Financial freedom
Amazon is scalable. There is no ceiling. You choose how far you want to take it based on how much time, effort and capital you are willing to put in.
The opportunity is huge. People are building:
- Seven figure businesses
- Seven figure brands
- Full time income streams
But nobody gets there by accident. They follow the formula.

Final Thoughts
This formula works. Every time.
If you:
- Put the time in
- Work hard consistently
- Reinvest capital
- Improve your skillset
You will succeed on Amazon. Trust the process. Follow the formula. Stay consistent.
This year is about executing, scaling and pushing harder than ever.
